The timer is set using DIP switches on the PCB inside the Water Valve Control.

Open the Water Valve Control by removing the catch cover on the top of the casing and pressing down on the catch to remove the front panel.

Program the preferred water shut off from the last time water was used by positioning the DIP switches as follows. Default is set to 24 hours:

DIP 2ON 2 hour delay
DIP 1 & 2ON 4 hour delay
DIP 3ON 6 hour delay
DIP 1 & 3ON 12 hour delay
DIP 2 & 3ON 18 hour delay
DIP 1, 2 & 3ON 48 hour delay
DIP 1, 2 & 3OFF24 hour delay (default)

An alarm is sounding on my Water Valve Control, what does it mean?

If the orange WARNING LED is flashing it is to indicate that the batteries need changing in the Water Valve Control.

How do I change the batteries in the Water Valve Control?

Unplug the valve from the Water Valve Control and lift the Water Valve Control it off its retaining screws.

Remove the catch cover on the top of the unit, press down the retaining catch to release the front cover. Unplug the battery holder, insert 4 x new AA batteries, reassemble and plug in valve

Re-initialize the system:

  • Press WATER OFF – the unit will beep once.
  • Press WATER ON – the unit will beep once and the Valve Operating LED will flash for 10 seconds.
  • When it has finished flashing, test the Water Valve Control by pressing WATER OFF again and checking that the valve closes.
  • When the Valve Operating LED stops flashing press WATER ON to reinstate the water.

Batteries should be changed every 9 months.

Important Note

When the Leaksafe valve is opening or closing the "Valve Operating" LED on the Water Valve Control flashes green for approximately 10 seconds.

WHILST THE "VALVE OPERATING" LED IS FLASHING GREEN THE WATER VALVE CONTROL CANNOT RECEIVE ANOTHER SIGNAL. PRESSING THE ON/OFF BUTTONS ON THE WATER VALVE CONTROL DURING THIS PERIOD WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE VALVE.
